About Affliction (aka) Hellgate Mafia
We are Strong. We are Family/Friends. We have a life. We live and play Hard and Fast--Drama and Troll Free. There is zero tolerance for any and all Drama! We play to enjoy the game and take only the worthy with us. We Understand, Realize, and Make it Known Life Before any Game.

This guild is aimed at all aspects of game play. There are members/officers who make up the roster for regular raiders/pvp groups.. however, we would love for friends, families, and casuals alike to join us in the guild so that we can form a strong and vibrant community. We do have extensive experience of many years raiding hardcore in previous games and in hellgate alike, therefore there will definitely be a significant component of raiding within this guild. I do intend to not allow raiding to cause an elitist attitude to emerge or to overshadow other great aspects of social gaming such as crafting/quests and other casual activities.

-There will be a regular raid schedule posted on our forums where attendance will be recorded, monitored, and poor attendance will affect the chance of future raid invites, and prolonged unreliability will be dealt with accordingly.
- The raid times will be based on central/eastern USA time.

The Affliction Guild is a collection of like minded players whose desire is to have a social, fun and friendly environment in which to game.

Most importantly, we try to help each other as much as possible and strive to create a pleasant gaming environment.

Basic Guild Rules:
always remember the tag you wear: Affliction.
...Never make the guild look bad, ever. If you act stupidly,  we all look stupid. If you are not sure about something, price, items value etc, please ask in guild chat first before you sell something worth millions for a few $$ ...Be Smart, Play Smart.

...Respect guildies and non guildies.
No abusing, accusing, and/or threatening members or any other players on the server. This gives Hellgate Mafia and you a very bad name.
If someone has been involved in an incident, all members involved are requested to speak to the GM. In this case, all will be investigated; and the appropriate actions can be taken. News travels fast, especially BAD news.

... Basic rules in Guild and server Chat .
Avoid yelling or swearing in a disturbing matter, and NEVER cuss in guild chat!

...Respect our ventrilo. If you go on ventrilo please use respect, you never know who's listening. If you plan to yell, act a fool, etc. please stay off ventrilo because  you will be kicked from the guild and banned from the vent server.

...Do NOT attend an Instance if you are not sure you can finish the run. This causes delays and makes the guild look bad.

... No begging. There is nothing more annoying in the game it seems than people asking for money. {comming soon} There will always be items available from Guild Bank if you are in need of equipment; ask there 1st!!!
...No heavy trade in the guild/ to guildies. Avoid selling items /uniques to fellow guildies; giving is much nicer...

...NEVER rip a PLAYER OR GUILDIE off.

You are required to treat other members of the guild with respect. How you actually feel about them is not relevant, but your behavior is. Feel free to interact with anyone outside of the guild however you like, as long as it doesn't violate any of the guild rules.

... Discrimination and Causing Offense.
Discussions that may discriminate or cause offense on the grounds of gender, disability, race,  sexual orientation, religion, or belief will not be tolerated. Anything that you say that may cause offense may lead to your being removed from the Guild and possibly facing a permanent ban, not only from the Guild but also the Game. Please be careful what you say/write!

We are a Guild of a different breed, one that believes that having fun, helping guildies, and taking on  challenges  are all  priority number one in game.  However, RL must come first!
